IP clustering
Multiple reviews submitted from the same IP address or device in a short window targeting the same company - a classic sign of coordinated fake review campaigns.
TrustScores can't be purchased. Reviews can't be removed because a company doesn't like them. Rankings reflect real shipment data, not advertising budgets. Here's exactly how we protect that.
We don't publish reviews the moment someone submits them. Every review goes through a multi-step verification process before it can affect a company's TrustScore.
Anyone who shipped with an auto transport company can submit even if they didn't book through Transportvibe. The review enters a holding state, not visible to anyone yet.
Immediate
A verification link is sent to the email provided. The review remains unpublished until the reviewer clicks the link. This confirms a real person with a real email address submitted the review.
Sent immediately - link valid for 72 hours
Our fraud detection system analyzes every verified submission for IP clustering, review pattern matching, timing anomalies, duplicate content detection, and account cluster identification. Flagged reviews go to human review.
Runs within seconds of email verification
The review is checked against our Review Guidelines for prohibited content, personal information, defamatory claims, and relevance. Formatting may be edited; substance is never changed.
Automated + human review for flagged submissions
The review goes live and the company's TrustScore updates in real time. The reviewer gets a confirmation. The company is notified if they have a claimed profile.
Usually within 2-4 hours of email verification
The only grounds for removal are guideline violations, not a company's dissatisfaction with their rating.
A platform with only 5-star reviews is a platform nobody trusts. We publish the full picture.
TrustScore is not a star rating from a single platform. It's a weighted composite from six sources, adjusted for recency and volume, broken into six specific metrics that matter for auto transport decisions.

A review from last month counts more than one from 2 years ago. TrustScores reflect current performance.
Minimum review count required before a score is published. One review can't create a misleading score.
Fake reviews are a problem for every platform. Here's what our system looks for, and what happens when we identify a pattern.
Multiple reviews submitted from the same IP address or device in a short window targeting the same company - a classic sign of coordinated fake review campaigns.
AI analyzes review language against known fake review templates and patterns. Generic five-star reviews with no specifics are flagged for human review.
A sudden surge in reviews for a company - especially positive ones - triggers investigation. Legitimate review growth is gradual and sudden spikes almost always have a cause.
We cross-reference reviewer email domains and IP patterns against known industry entities. Reviews submitted from competitor email domains are removed and the pattern reported.
Reviews that are near-identical to submissions on other platforms, or duplicates of previous submissions on Transportvibe, are identified and removed before publication.
Multiple accounts created around the same time, reviewing the same company from similar device fingerprints, are investigated as linked account clusters.
Profile immediately suspended. Paid subscriptions canceled. Conduct reported to the FTC and FMCSA. We pursue available legal remedies for coordinated fraud that damages customers or the platform.
Any company can appear on the platform - their reviews are public record. But to earn a Verified badge and claim their profile, they go through a mandatory verification process.
We check the company's operating authority at safer.fmcsa.dot.gov. Inactive, revoked, or suspended authority disqualifies a company from verification regardless of their reviews.
A valid certificate of insurance with active cargo liability coverage is required. We confirm directly with the issuing insurer, not just from a submitted document.
The person claiming the profile must demonstrate authority to act on behalf of the company via business registration documents or verifiable role confirmation.
Companies with active enforcement actions, out-of-service orders, or significant unresolved safety violations are not eligible for the Verified badge regardless of their TrustScore.
Badges are earned through performance data, they cannot be purchased. Here's exactly what each one requires.
Active FMCSA operating authority, confirmed cargo insurance, and identity verification completed by the Transportvibe team.

TrustScore position is determined solely by review data. No company can pay to improve their ranking, suppress competitors, or move up the Compare results. Paid features are clearly labeled and affect visibility only.
Reviews are not removed because a company dislikes them, disputes the rating, or requests removal. The only grounds for removal are guideline violations, not business relationships or financial pressure.
If a company's TrustScore is low, that number remains published clearly and prominently. We do not suppress, soften, or contextualize bad scores to protect revenue relationships.
The email you use to verify a review is never shared with the company you reviewed or any third-party company. Your identity stays protected as outlined in our privacy policy.
The TrustScore formula, weighting, fraud detection criteria, and badge requirements are all published publicly. No black boxes. If you want to understand a score, you can.
Featured company cards, sponsored placements, and paid visibility are always clearly labeled. The label 'Sponsored' appears visibly so users can separate paid placements from organic results.
Companies with verified profiles can respond publicly to any review. We believe accountability works both ways. Customers should have their say, and companies should have the chance to respond on the record.
For Full Service bookings, we act as the licensed broker and take accountability for customer care and issue escalation. We are not a directory in this flow. For Full Service customers, we are on the hook.
