USHIP CORP
This company currently receives an AVOID verdict because FMCSA records show an inactive registration or operating authority required for its services. This is a regulatory concern, separate from customer reviews: positive feedback does not resolve it. We recommend choosing another provider unless updated FMCSA records confirm the required status is active.

About USHIP CORP
uShip has run an online shipping marketplace out of Austin, Texas, since it was incorporated in 2004. You list a vehicle, then compare quotes from independent carriers and brokers, or book an instant rate on select routes. Cars, motorcycles, boats and RVs move through it on open or enclosed trucks across the U.S., with many routes to Canada and Mexico.
A payment code decides when your carrier gets paid. On shipments of $10,000 or less, you usually pay the full price through uShip at booking, and the money reaches the carrier only after you release the code at delivery. uShip's user agreement says this isn't an escrow service, and releasing the code counts as a non-reversible cash payment. So hold the code until the car is in your driveway. Above $10,000, you pay a deposit through uShip and the balance to the carrier.
uShip calls itself a neutral venue and isn't a party to the deal you strike with the carrier. Its user agreement also says it doesn't prequalify providers' licenses or insurance, so checking FMCSA authority is your job.
On a uShip Payments booking, you can get a full refund for up to 120 days, as long as the code hasn't been released. On a deposit booking, uShip keeps the deposit and service charge as its cancellation fee.
Coverage starts with the carrier's cargo insurance. An optional uShip Protection Plan must be claimed within 7 days of delivery. When neither pays, the Ship with Confidence Guarantee may cover up to $500 per shipment.
uShip, Inc. is based at 205 E Riverside Dr in Austin, TX, and has been BBB accredited since August 12, 2005. Its affiliate uShip Concierge LLC, doing business as uShip Logistics LLC, holds active broker authority under USDOT 2895862 and MC-973139. A separate FMCSA record named USHIP CORP, registered in Doral, Florida (USDOT 2998976, MC-23053), lists its operating authority as not authorized as of September 26, 2026.
