Unlimited Auto Trans LLC is a Palatine, Illinois car shipping broker that arranges open and enclosed auto transport, door-to-door delivery and terminal-to-terminal service across the 48 contiguous states. It also ships motorcycles, classic and luxury cars, EVs and damaged vehicles. It books licensed carriers and doesn't run its own trucks.
The Damage Free Guarantee is the company's best-known feature. If a carrier and its insurer fail to pay a damage claim, Unlimited Auto Trans says it will reimburse your insurance deductible, up to $500. You must be denied by the carrier first, and the guarantee applies only if you paid its non-discounted $250 per-vehicle service fee. Its terms let the company withdraw it at any time.
Its Guaranteed Pick-Up service promises pickup within 12 to 48 hours in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and the Los Angeles area, at a higher price. Its terms still say no pickup or delivery dates are guaranteed.
Its site says nothing is charged until a carrier is assigned. The balance goes to the driver at delivery in cash or cashier's check. Cancelling before dispatch is free, and after dispatch it costs $199. Cancellations must be sent by email, because its terms say phone requests aren't honored. A dry run costs $150, and a non-operational vehicle adds $250.
Customers include individuals, military members, snowbirds, students, online car buyers and car resellers. Up to 100 lbs of belongings may ride in the trunk, at your own risk, per its terms.
Its terms say carriers must carry insurance, and you can request the carrier's insurance certificate and refuse the carrier before pickup, though no minimum amounts are published. Damage claims must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of delivery.
FMCSA lists it under USDOT 3250475 and MC-1022833 with active broker authority. BBB records show it started in February 2019 and has accredited it since July 2021.
