About United Freeway Transportation LLC
United Freeway Transportation LLC is an Allentown, Pennsylvania auto transport broker that arranges open and enclosed car shipping, door-to-door delivery and expedited transport across the 48 contiguous states. It doesn't ship to Alaska or Hawaii.
Pickup timing depends on the rate you choose. At the Economy Saver Rate, United Freeway looks for a carrier within about 7 work days of your first available date, with no guarantee, and its terms say the price may be raised in steps if no carrier accepts. The Guaranteed First Class Rate locks the price and the pickup to a set day or the next day after your vehicle is available.
Once a carrier is assigned, the driver calls at least an hour before pickup and usually 24 hours before delivery. The company publishes average delivery times of 1 to 2 business days for expedited, 3 to 5 for open and 5 to 7 for enclosed transport. It doesn't say whether these count from booking or pickup, and its terms say delivery dates aren't guaranteed.
Beyond standard cars, United Freeway ships classic cars, inoperable vehicles, motorcycles, RVs and trailers, boats and heavy equipment. It works with individuals, families, students, military members, online car sellers and businesses, and it assigns a personal agent to each load.
The service fee is charged when a carrier accepts the order, and the balance goes to the driver at delivery in cash or certified funds. Cancellation is free until then and costs at least $200 after. Paying the full amount by card adds an 8.75% to 9.75% fee.
As a broker, United Freeway never takes custody of your vehicle. It says it vets carriers for licensing, insurance, driving history and safety ratings and keeps each carrier's insurance on file. That carrier's policy covers your car in transit.
The company started operating in September 2021. FMCSA lists it under USDOT 3713977 and MC-1304594 with active broker authority, at 4628 Broadway in Allentown. It has been BBB accredited since November 2022.
