About Tempus Logix
Tempus Logix is a Los Angeles-area auto transport broker that arranges open and enclosed car shipping, door-to-door delivery and expedited transport nationwide. It lists all 50 states and Washington, D.C. as service areas, with Alaska and Hawaii shipments moved through third-party marine shipping companies.
Two features set it apart. The first is speed: its expedited option promises a 24 to 48-hour pickup window, and its terms describe it as coming with guaranteed pickup dates. The second is visibility. Customers can check booking, dispatch, estimated pickup and estimated delivery dates on an online tracking page, with updates relayed from the carrier rather than live GPS.
Beyond standard cars, Tempus Logix ships motorcycles, ATVs, classic cars, inoperable vehicles, RVs, boats and heavy equipment, and it works with carriers that deliver to U.S. ports for international shipping. Its customers include individuals, collectors, luxury car owners, dealers, auction houses and companies relocating employees or fleets. For standard vehicles, it aims to assign a carrier within 1 to 5 business days. Heavy equipment, RVs and motorcycles can take up to 7.
Quotes include tolls and insurance and stay valid for 5 days on shipments planned within 10 days. Booking online needs no upfront payment, but the terms require Tempus Logix's share to be paid before pickup, with any balance paid to the carrier at delivery. Card and PayPal payments carry a 4% processing fee. Active-duty military members can get up to 10% off, and returning customers are offered discounts. You can pack up to 100 lbs of personal items in the trunk at no extra charge.
Tempus Logix checks each carrier's cargo and liability insurance through FMCSA. The carrier's policy covers your vehicle in transit, and damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
The company started operating in April 2018 and is based at 7239 Lonzo St in Tujunga, California. FMCSA lists it under USDOT 3117533 and MC-86120 with active broker authority. It has been BBB accredited since April 2020.
