Sherpa Auto Transport LLC
Sherpa Auto Transport LLC has a TrustScore of 89/100 and a rating of Highly Trusted. The strongest customer-experience evidence is broad praise in the reviews we read for communication, delivery timing, pickup timing, and driver professionalism, with vehicle condition also drawing favorable feedback. The review set is large, with 9,293 counted reviews across ConsumerAffairs, Google, BBB, and Trustpilot, and the newest review is from July 2026. A smaller share of reviews mention complaints about pickup timing, pricing, and issue resolution, but those concerns are outweighed by the much larger positive pattern. Its FMCSA broker authority is active, and the reviews and authority together support the published rating.

About Sherpa Auto Transport LLC
Sherpa Auto Transport LLC is a car shipping broker that arranges open and enclosed auto transport, door-to-door delivery, expedited shipping and motorcycle transport for all 50 states. Door-to-door service covers the 48 contiguous states, and Alaska and Hawaii shipments move through ports.
Sherpa is best known for its Price Lock Promise. If the quoted price isn't enough to secure a carrier, Sherpa says it will cover the gap with up to $300 per vehicle. The promise is void if you change the order after confirming it, give incorrect details or list the vehicle with another company.
Payment is split in two. Booking only triggers a $1 card authorization. Sherpa's Initial Payment is charged when a carrier is assigned, and the balance goes to the driver at delivery in cash or certified check. Cancelling before a carrier is assigned costs $50 per vehicle, or $100 for motorcycles. After that, the Initial Payment is kept as the cancellation fee.
The standard pickup window is 5 business days. Expedited service shortens it to 2 or 3 business days for an extra fee, and cross-country shipments typically take about a week to 10 days. Sherpa also ships trucks and luxury or exotic cars, and it accepts inoperable vehicles for a fee if they roll, brake and steer. It doesn't ship boats, golf carts, ATVs or RVs.
Its customers include snowbirds, military families, college students, online car buyers, dealers, auctions, rental companies and corporate fleets. Sherpa offers discounts for first responders, military families, returning customers and multi-vehicle orders, though it doesn't publish the amounts.
As a broker, Sherpa never takes possession of your vehicle. It requires carriers to hold at least $1,000,000 in liability and $100,000 in cargo insurance, and damage claims go to the carrier in writing within 7 days.
Sherpa started in October 2017 and joined SAKAEM Holdings in 2023. FMCSA lists the current company under USDOT 4085166 and MC-1555035 with active broker authority, registered in Tucker, Georgia. It has been BBB accredited since September 2018.
