The Bohemia, New York auto transport broker books open car shipping, enclosed auto transport, door-to-door delivery, expedited shipping and motorcycle transport across the continental U.S. Hawaii moves go through ocean carriers such as Matson or Pasha, and full payment is due when you book one.
The size of your bill decides how SGT lets you pay. Nothing is due at booking. A deposit is charged when a carrier is dispatched, and the balance goes to the driver at delivery in cash, cashier's check or money order. For orders between $2,299 and $4,500, SGT accepts a credit card only after you sign its cardholder authorization form. Above $4,500, its terms require ACH, an electronic bank debit or Zelle.
Quotes hold for 7 calendar days. The pickup window usually runs 1 to 3 business days after your first available date. Need a firm date? SGT sells a Guaranteed Pickup Service on select routes for an added fee.
Canceling can cost $199, for example if you cancel before the pickup window ends or book with other brokers at the same time. Cancellations count only in writing by email. A card chargeback can add a $200 fee. On the plus side, SGT's deals page lists up to 25% off for snowbirds, up to 10% for military members, students and Sunday bookings, and $50 off for multiple vehicles, EVs, seniors, first responders and a few other groups.
SGT never takes possession of your vehicle. The carrier's cargo policy covers it in transit, and SGT's FAQ puts typical limits at $100,000 to $150,000 on open trailers and $250,000 to $3,000,000 on enclosed ones. Hidden damage must be reported to SGT within 24 hours of delivery.
