Royal Auto Ship LLC is a Philadelphia-based car shipping broker that arranges open and enclosed auto transport, door-to-door delivery and motorcycle shipping across the United States. The company says it serves all 50 states, with Alaska and Hawaii handled as overseas shipments that include an ocean leg.
Its pricing comes in two tiers. The Economy Saver Rate is the lower quote, and Royal's terms say it may raise that price in steps if no carrier takes the load. The Guaranteed First Class Rate is locked and comes with a set-day or next-day pickup window. Nothing is charged until a carrier accepts your order, and you can cancel for free up to that point. After that, the cancellation fee is at least $199.
Each order gets an assigned transport advisor. Royal sends updates when it books a spot on a truck, at pickup and at delivery. Phone support runs Monday through Saturday from 9 AM to 9 PM and Sunday from 9 AM to 6 PM.
The quote form accepts cars, pickups, motorcycles, ATVs and UTVs, boats, personal watercraft, snowmobiles, RVs and trailers, commercial trucks and heavy equipment. Royal works with online car buyers, college students, snowbirds, military members and collectors, plus dealerships, auto auctions and car rental companies. It suggests booking 2 to 4 weeks ahead, and coast-to-coast transit typically takes 1 to 2 weeks.
As a broker, Royal doesn't move vehicles itself. The carrier's cargo insurance covers your car in transit, and Royal's terms require carriers to hold $100,000 to $250,000 in cargo coverage and at least $750,000 in liability coverage. Royal's service fee is charged when a carrier accepts the order, and the balance goes to the driver at delivery in cash or certified funds.
