About MoveWheels.com
MoveWheels.com, a Green Cove Springs, Florida car shipping broker, moves vehicles across all 50 states and books sea legs to Puerto Rico, Guam, Asia and the South Pacific. Its legal name is BWT Group LLC. It arranges open car shipping, enclosed auto transport, expedited pickups and door-to-door delivery for cars, motorcycles, RVs, boats and heavy equipment.
Flexible, Recommended, Expedited and Enclosed are the four ways to book. Flexible gives the carrier a 7-day pickup window and up to 14 days to deliver. Recommended shrinks pickup to 4 days, Expedited promises same-day pickup on its homepage, and Enclosed lets you name the day. The open tiers allow 100 pounds of personal items, Enclosed allows 200. Its terms still say no date is guaranteed.
MoveWheels asks for 1 to 5 business days to assign a carrier. If nobody picks up within 5 business days of your first available date, you can walk away with no penalty. Hawaii cars go to a port in Tacoma, Oakland, Los Angeles or San Diego and must ship empty. Alaska cars leave from Tacoma or Kent with up to 100 pounds inside. You pay the sea portion before the car reaches the port.
Your card isn't charged until the carrier picks the car up. That first charge is MoveWheels' deposit, and the balance goes to the driver at delivery in cash or certified funds. Paying the full price by card adds 4%. Canceling is free before dispatch, but only by email. A dry run costs $200, and port pickups or deliveries add $100.
BWT Group never takes possession of your vehicle. Report damage to MoveWheels within 24 hours and note it on the bill of lading. Damage claims go to the carrier, in writing, within 10 days, with photos and 2 repair estimates.
BBB records show BWT Group started in December 2009. Its registered address, 411 Walnut St #4179 in Green Cove Springs, Florida, is a mail-forwarding service, according to BBB. Its federal registration is USDOT 2521695, MC-873248, and its broker authority is active. It is not BBB accredited.
