About Friendly Auto Transport
Shipping across the lower 48 states, plus port service to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Guam and the South Pacific, is offered by Friendly Auto Transport LLC, a Fort Myers, Florida car shipping broker. Overseas legs run through maritime partners, and the company quotes those routes by phone. It arranges open car shipping, enclosed auto transport and door-to-door delivery.
Friendly doesn't take money until a carrier is locked in. Its shipping agreement says no deposits or upfront fees are charged until a carrier is confirmed and you sign. The broker fee is charged to your card then, and the rest goes to the carrier at delivery, usually in cash or through apps like Zelle or Venmo. If you'd rather pay everything upfront by card, the agreement adds a 6% service fee, rounded up to the next hundred dollars.
Once you sign, the broker fee may not be refunded if you cancel. The agreement adds a $250 fee if a vehicle becomes inoperable after dispatch and a $250 dry run fee if your car isn't ready at pickup. If an assigned carrier drops out, Friendly has 10 business days from your first available date to find another before a refund is considered.
Inoperable cars are accepted for a premium if they roll, brake and steer. Electric vehicles must be fully charged before loading. Customers include snowbirds, traveling nurses, car collectors, auction buyers, dealerships and corporate fleets.
Friendly never owns trucks or employs drivers, and a contract carrier handles each move. That carrier's cargo policy covers your vehicle, its deductible applies to any claim, and Friendly keeps each carrier's certificate of insurance on file.
Friendly Auto Transport LLC operates from Fort Myers. MC-73283 is its active broker license, issued under USDOT 3093558, and its federal record starts in 2018.
