About Freedom Auto Transport
Freedom Auto Transport LLC is a Pompano Beach, Florida-based car shipping broker that books open car shipping, enclosed auto transport and door-to-door delivery for individuals and businesses. Its state list covers all 50 states plus Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Marshall Islands. It works with snowbirds, military families, dealerships, auctions and fleet managers.
Bulldozers and cranes are on Freedom's list too. Its heavy-haul page covers tractors, wheel loaders, dozers and house moves, using trailers that run from 2-axle setups up to dual-lane 19-axle rigs. The same team books RVs, mobile homes, boats and golf carts. No money is due until a carrier is assigned, and the page says split payments are possible.
Standard pickup falls within 1 to 3 business days of your first available date, according to its FAQ. Same-day or next-day pickup is available for an extra fee. Drivers usually call ahead with a 2 to 4-hour pickup window.
A portion of the price is charged once a carrier is assigned, and the rest goes to the driver in cash, cashier's check or money order. Canceling before that assignment is free. After it, the terms say the reservation isn't refunded. Inoperable or oversized vehicles carry a $200 fee, and a carrier that can't load because of size can charge $150. Freedom mentions a military discount but publishes no amount.
A carrier from Freedom's network handles the actual transport, and that carrier's cargo policy covers the car. Freedom's terms say it holds no cargo coverage of its own and require you to keep full coverage on the vehicle during the trip. Damage claims go to Freedom or the carrier, in writing, within 24 hours of delivery. Classic, exotic and custom vehicles may need their own binder policy.
BBB lists Freedom Auto Transport LLC as incorporated in June 2010 and started in September 2010. Its office is at 1100 Park Central Blvd S, Suite 3750, in Pompano Beach. Freedom Auto Transport is registered with FMCSA as a broker under USDOT 2247218 and MC-720433, and that authority is active. It isn't BBB accredited.
