Broadway Auto Transport
This company currently receives an AVOID verdict because FMCSA records show an inactive registration or operating authority required for its services. This is a regulatory concern, separate from customer reviews: positive feedback does not resolve it. We recommend choosing another provider unless updated FMCSA records confirm the required status is active.

Held by the carrier, not Broadway Auto Transport. If your vehicle is damaged, the claim goes against the carrier’s policy. Always photograph the vehicle before handoff and document any damage on the Bill of Lading at delivery before signing.
About Broadway Auto Transport
Broadway Auto Transport is a Manhattan-based company that sells itself as a car shipping broker. It books open car shipping and enclosed auto transport across the 48 contiguous states, with door-to-door delivery included and expedited pickup on request.
Distance bands drive the price, and Broadway prints them on its homepage. On an open carrier, it lists $1.00 to $1.50 a mile under 500 miles, $0.75 to $1.25 from 500 to 1,500 miles, and $0.50 to $0.75 beyond that. Enclosed costs more per mile in every band. So you can check a quote with a calculator before you call anyone.
Its FAQ puts trips under 500 miles at 1 to 3 days and coast-to-coast runs at 7 to 10, though the consumer terms call every date an estimate. Expedited pickup adds a flat $200, which the site says is waived if Broadway misses it.
It also ships motorcycles, classic cars, lifted trucks and non-running vehicles that still roll, brake and steer. Winching one aboard costs $150.
The broker fee hits your card only after a carrier is dispatched, and the driver gets the balance in cash or certified funds. Cancel before dispatch and you owe nothing. After that, the deposit is non-refundable. If no carrier turns up within 10 business days of your first available date, the terms allow a full refund. The homepage says quotes hold for 14 days, but the terms treat any quote not labeled a price lock as an estimate. Listed discounts are 15% for military, 10% for students and $75 off two or more cars.
Its terms say Broadway arranges the shipment and a contracted carrier does the hauling. The carrier's cargo policy covers your vehicle in transit, and new damage has to be written on the Bill of Lading before you sign.
Broadway Auto Transport LLC lists its office at 1 Maiden Lane, 5th Floor, in New York, NY. FMCSA's file for USDOT 3990000 and MC-1496533 shows the entity type as carrier, with one power unit. Its operating authority is listed as not authorized as of September 25, 2026.
