Auto Freight Carriers
This company currently receives an AVOID verdict because FMCSA records show an inactive registration or operating authority required for its services. This is a regulatory concern, separate from customer reviews: positive feedback does not resolve it. We recommend choosing another provider unless updated FMCSA records confirm the required status is active.

Held by the carrier, not Auto Freight Carriers. If your vehicle is damaged, the claim goes against the carrier’s policy. Always photograph the vehicle before handoff and document any damage on the Bill of Lading at delivery before signing.
About Auto Freight Carriers
Auto Freight Carriers LLC has arranged car shipping since February 2022, when it was incorporated, according to BBB. The Charleston, South Carolina, auto transport broker books door-to-door delivery, open air and enclosed auto transport, expedited shipping, and seasonal and classic car moves across the U.S. Its website lists families, dealerships, auctions, military members, seniors and students as customers.
Clause 9 of its terms asks you to give up the right to sue. By booking, you release Auto Freight Carriers LLC from claims tied to pickup, transit or delivery. Clause 11 adds that the company can cancel an order at any time. Read both before you pay a reservation fee.
Pickup windows open on your first available date and usually run 5 business days, unless you choose expedited service. The FAQ estimates transit at 1 to 2 days for trips under 200 miles and 8 to 9 days past 2,500 miles. The terms don't promise a set pickup or delivery date.
You pay that reservation fee once a driver is assigned, by card, Zelle, Cash App, Venmo or PayPal. The balance goes to the driver at delivery, in cash, check, certified funds or one of those apps. Non-running vehicles cost $150 extra. A $50 fee applies if the truck arrives and the car isn't ready, and the terms list a $200 administration fee for cancelled orders. Personal items stay in the trunk, up to 150 pounds.
As a broker, Auto Freight Carriers doesn't move vehicles itself. Its terms say damage claims are covered by the carrier, with $100,000 to $250,000 in cargo insurance per load. Note damage on the condition report at delivery, then send the claim in writing within 14 days.
Auto Freight Carriers LLC is registered at 874 Colony Dr in Charleston, South Carolina, and its website also lists an office at 7100 Foundry Row in Liberty Township, Ohio. Its federal registration is USDOT 3822786 and MC-1383864. The USDOT number is active, but FMCSA lists its broker operating authority as not authorized as of October 18, 2026. It isn't BBB accredited.
