About ABC Auto Shipping
ABC Auto Shipping, Inc. is an Irvine, California, auto transport broker, which means it books carriers rather than running its own trucks. It arranges open car shipping, enclosed auto transport and door-to-door delivery for cars, motorcycles and small boats across the continental US. It isn't affiliated with ABC Car Shipping, a separate company with a similar name.
Seniors 65 and older get 10% off, and so do disabled veterans. ABC's discount page lists 8% for active and retired military, 7% for students and 5% for single parents. Ship two or more cars on the same truck between the same points and each car can get up to 15% off, the first one included. Returning customers and referrals earn $50 to $200 per car.
ABC asks for a 4 to 5 day pickup window (3 to 4 at minimum), then narrows it to 1 or 2 days once a carrier is assigned. Need fixed dates? It can stage your car at a terminal within 30 miles for about $150 to $300 per vehicle. Coast to coast usually takes 8 to 14 days, its FAQ says.
Payment rules differ by source. The website says nothing is due until a carrier is secured. The refund policy ABC filed with BBB lists a $100 deposit per vehicle on open trucks and $200 on enclosed, mostly non-refundable if you cancel. The balance goes to the driver at delivery in cash, cashier's check or money order. Paying the whole fee by card adds 3%.
The carrier's cargo policy covers your vehicle in transit. Any damage has to be noted on the Bill of Lading at delivery, or ABC says the claim won't be honored. You can leave up to 100 pounds of personal items in the car, uninsured.
ABC Auto Shipping started on January 3, 2013, according to BBB, and owner Arman Tari runs it from 102 Turnstone in Irvine, California. ABC Auto Shipping is registered with FMCSA as a broker under USDOT 2340626 and MC-797279, and that authority is active. It has been BBB accredited since September 23, 2024.
